Regulatory Compliance Officer

Location: Alpharetta, GA

Description
AirDefense is the market leader in anywhere, anytime wireless security and monitoring. As the market leader and innovator of 24x7 RF monitoring solutions, AirDefense provides a complete suite of wireless security and operational support solutions to enable risk-free wireless LANs. 

AirDefense is the leading provider of wireless security. The AirDefense Enterprise product is a state of the art Wireless Intrusion Prevention System (WIPS).  The successful candidate will handle all aspects of the product certification process against local and/or international requirements. This includes definition of requirements, identification of test agencies, assessment of testing scope, coordination of product testing, implementation of internal processes and monitoring for compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage Safety & EMI product certification activities with UL, CSA, CE, or other Foreign Agencies through test lab or hardware vendor.
  • Manage Radio/Telecom product certification activities with FCC, IEC or other Foreign Telecom Agencies through test lab or hardware vendor.
  • Manage Security product certification/validation activities NIAP, CC, FIPS test lab or hardware vendor.
  • Coordinate with related parties and provide document support regarding product certification and customer requirements
  • Handle administrative tasks such as correspondences, technical data support etc. regarding product regulatory affairs and Quality Control
  • Assist Operations with any shipping/customs related issues as a result of certification/approval requirements
  • Develop and maintain administrative documents and resource documents
  • Internal & External Audit of Quality Control Processes
  • Maintain hardware failure records for RMA’s

Requirements

  • BS Degree or higher
  • 3-5 years experience in Regulatory Affairs and/or QA.
  • Strong understanding of  Radio Technology a plus
  • Experience with UL/ CSA, CE, FCC/telecom, NIAP/FIPS certification process
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work well across departments.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Self starter, takes initiative, identifies and completes tasks; Goal driven
  • Professional with ability to properly handle confidential information.

Security Analyst-Dedicated Customer

Location: Mahwah, NJ

Description
AirDefense is the market leader in anywhere, anytime wireless security and monitoring. As the market leader and innovator of 24x7 RF monitoring solutions, AirDefense provides a complete suite of wireless security and operational support solutions to enable risk-free wireless LANs. 

AirDefense is currently seeking two talented, dynamic Security Analysts.  These positions will provide all levels of support for AirDefense's products to a dedicated customer. As more products are deployed and product offerings expanded, qualified analyst's will have the opportunity to grow with the company and assume roles of increasing responsibility.

Performance Standards:          
Analyst's will acquire and maintain a thorough knowledge of AirDefense's products and their application, as well as general wireless security and network technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • 24 x 7 On-call Support for dedicated customer; Will alternate as primary on-call and secondary on-call with one other analyst.
  • Assist customer with problem definition and resolution with AirDefense products.
  • Keep reliable records of all customer calls, problems, and resolutions.
  • Monitor deployed systems and collect performance data.
  • Assist customer with configuration and deployment of AirDefense products.
  • This position provides onsite, dedicated customer support with one of our customers. 

Requirements

  • C/C++ Development including the use of Make/Source Control Systems
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to effectively provide customer service to dedicated customer.
  • Ability to effectively explain complicated technical information to people with less technical knowledge.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently, effectively leveraging provided tools.
  • Ability to effectively document issues and resolutions.
  • Some experience with a UNIX-variant operating system required.
  • Knowledge of how WLAN (802.11) security systems and protocols work.
  • Knowledge of network configuration and components (firewalls, routers, etc.) required.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

Education Requirements:
Minimum of a 2 year degree

Experience:

  • 2-3 years experience implementing and supporting wireless networks required.
  • 2-3 years experience with wireless security required.
  • 2-3 years experience in providing level 3 technical support.
  • 2-3 years experience in network related technologies.
  • 1 year experience in UNIX-variant OS administration.

 


Software Engineer: Test Automation System Developer

Department: QA/Development
Location: Alpharetta, GA

Description
AirDefense is the leading provider of wireless security appliances.  The AirDefense Enterprise product is a state of the art Wireless Intrusion Prevention System (WIPS).  Our Quality Assurance team builds advanced testing systems, simulates wireless attacks, and verifies wireless security applications.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to design an automated test system for the AirDefense Enterprise product. This testing system will drive the testing of the key capabilities of the WIPS system and generate a report summarizing the results of each test case. Tests will generate wireless traffic and verify the corresponding WIPS threat detection capability.  The breadth of test automation and verification systems will grow to include a variety of wireless applications.

Requirements

  • C/C++ Development including the use of Make/Source Control Systems
  • Scripting Languages such as  Perl, Tickle, & Linux Shell
  • Internet Protocol Suite (HTTP/HTTPS, TCP/IP, Ping, TraceRoute, Routing, etc); Ethernet; Strong networking skills
  • POP3/SMTP Email Client
  • Debugging experience with sniffers and packet analyzers
  • Background in building an automated test system from ground up
  • Java, SOAP and XML experience also a plus

Requirements

  • Very strong object oriented design and development skills. 
  • Experience coding in c/c++, Java and other technologies.
  • Experience developing large, maintainable software product architectures.

The Regional Sales Manger will be responsible for product sales for medium and large commercial customers. Includes managing the full sales cycle for new customers, taking full responsibility for customer satisfaction, managing client expectations, and growing revenue.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years in internet technology, IT security or related field, with previous business development experience ($2m-$5m quota) preferred
  • Proven troubleshooting experience with challenging client issues
  • Knowledge of Wireless 802.11 standards and technology
  • We are seeking a sales “hunter”

Education Requirements:
Bachelors or graduate degree from four year college or university in Business, Marketing, Engineering or a related discipline required.

Wireless Security Sales Engineer

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Sales Engineering experience preferred.
  • Provide technical presentations, proposals; develop tactical and strategic implementation solutions.
  • Strong background in network security, network protocols, and/or 802.11 standards.
  • Position requires 50% travel throughout region.
  • BS degree or higher preferred.
