Atlanta, Georgia - September 12, 2006 (BUSINESS WIRE) - AirDefense today announced the appointment of Tom Savini as chief financial officer (CFO). Savini joins AirDefense with more than 20 years of banking, financial and operational management experience.

Prior to joining AirDefense, Savini served as vice president of finance at Movaz Networks, Inc. a telecommunications infrastructure provider. He oversaw the growth of Movaz from its inception to its successful sale in August 2006 to ADVA Optical Networking. Previously, he held senior banking positions at Silicon Valley Bank, Sumitomo Bank and Bank of America, providing corporate and investment banking services to start-up, small cap and middle market clients, including several emerging technology clients.

Savini is associated professionally with the CFA Institute of Charlottesville, Virginia and the Atlanta Society of Financial Analysts. His designation as a Chartered Financial Analyst was conferred in 1997 and he earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Mercer University in 1986, after graduating from the University of Georgia in 1980 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree.
