With First-to-Market Wireless LAN Security Solutions and 18 Patents Pending, AirDefense Selected to Present at Georgia Technology Summit: Innovation on the Edge With Keynote Speaker Ray Kurzweil

Atlanta, GA- February 7, 2006- AirDefense, the innovator that launched the wireless LAN security market, this morning announced that it was named one of the Top 10 Most Innovative Companies in Georgia by the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG).  The award was presented to AirDefense’s President and CEO Anil Khatod during a reception at the 2006 Georgia Technology Summit: Innovation on the Edge.

As part of the gala event, AirDefense is also exhibiting its solutions, including AirDefense Enterprise, the most secure, scalable and cost-effective wireless intrusion prevention and troubleshooting solution, and AirDefense Personal, which provides comprehensive real-time threat detection and automated response for mobile workers, enabling employees to conduct business securely from the home, airport, customer sites and other hotspots.

The Top 10 Innovators were chosen based on a number of criteria, including: degree of innovation; scope and financial impact of innovation; likelihood of success; and promotion of Georgia’s innovative efforts nationally and internationally.

He has received 12 honorary doctorates, seven national and international film awards, and was inducted into the National Inventor Hall of Fame in 2002.
