AirDefense Enterprise 7.0 Chosen in “Best Wireless Security” Category

Atlanta, GA- February 13, 2006 - AirDefense, the innovator that launched the wireless LAN security market, today announced that it has again been chosen as a finalist in the SC Magazine Awards competition. AirDefense Enterprise 7.0 was named a 2006 SC Magazine Awards finalist in the Wireless Security category. Launched in December 2005, AirDefense Enterprise 7.0 is the industry’s most comprehensive and scalable wireless security platform.

The 2006 SC Magazine Awards winners will be announced on Tuesday, February 14, during the RSA Conference. This year’s awards competition saw more than 330 companies nominate more than 1,300 products.

Last week AirDefense was named one of the Top 10 Most Innovative Companies in Georgia. Attendees at the awards ceremony voted AirDefense the company most likely to succeed out of the Top 10. AirDefense also ranks in the Top 100 of private companies in the United States according to Red Herring.

“Being named an award finalist by SC Magazine again this year and having more than one third of the Fortune 100 companies using the AirDefense wireless LAN security platform is proof that our products are by far the leading choice amongst companies deploying and maintaining wireless networks,” said Anil Khatod, president and CEO of AirDefense. “More than 500 Global 1000 companies, government agencies, healthcare organizations, financial services firms and retailers deploying wireless LANs have chosen AirDefense solutions because they are the most comprehensive and robust in the market today.”

AirDefense is a rapidly growing company that in December 2005 launched AirDefense Enterprise 7.0, the most comprehensive wireless LAN intrusion detection/prevention solution in the security industry. AirDefense Enterprise 7.0 automatically responds to threats according to appropriate business process and compliance requirements on wireless and wired networks. AirDefense also launched AirDefense Personal 3.0 in January 2006, a wireless end-point security solution for mobile workers that eliminates wireless bridging, probing laptop, phishing and evil twin threats.
