ATLANTA & HERNDON, Va. - February 20, 2003 - After securing its enterprise wireless LAN with 24x7 monitoring from AirDefense Inc., DigitalNet Government Solutions LLC has formed a partnership with AirDefense to provide wireless LAN security to the federal government. Under terms of the agreement, DigitalNet will resell, support, deploy and manage AirDefense wireless LAN security and operational management products.

AirDefense solutions consist of distributed sensors and server appliances. The remote sensors sit near 802.11 access points to monitor all wireless LAN activities 24x7 and communicate with the server appliance, which analyzes the traffic in real time to identify rogue wireless LANs, detect intruders and attacks, enforce network security policies, deflect intruders from the network and monitor the health of the wireless LAN.
