AIRDEFENSE ANNOUNCES ALLOWANCE of TWO PATENTS FUNDAMENTAL for all WIRELESS SECURITY SOLUTIONS

Seminal patents comprehensively cover enterprise-class wireless intrusion protection systems

Atlanta - February 22, 2006 - AirDefense, the innovator that launched the wireless LAN security market, today announced the allowance of two fundamental and earliest dated patents that comprehensively cover the field of wireless intrusion protection - “Actively defending a wireless LAN against attacks” (US 20030233567) and “Wireless LAN dynamic channel change with honeypot trap” (US 20030219008).

The first two of AirDefense’s 18 pending patents to be allowed describe the core principles for all wireless intrusion protection systems including:
