Atlanta – February 28, 2008 - AirDefense, the innovator that launched the wireless LAN security market, announced that the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) named it one of the Top 40 Most Innovative Technology companies. TAG also named AirDefense to its list of top innovative companies in 2006. TAG recipients were chosen based on a number of criteria, including: degree of innovation and promotion of Georgia’s innovative efforts nationally and internationally.

Receiving the award during a reception on February 27 at the 2008 Georgia Technology Summit were Mike Potts, president and CEO, and David Thomas, vice president, product strategy. As part of the event held at the Cobb Galleria Centre, AirDefense exhibited its solutions, including AirDefense Enterprise, the most secure, scalable and cost-effective wireless intrusion prevention and troubleshooting solution.

AirDefense recently received the only ‘Best Buy’ rating from SC Magazine amongst wireless intrusion prevention software companies in an independent product review. AirDefense was also the only wireless intrusion prevention company to receive a ‘2007 Reader’s Choice Award’ from Information Security ™ magazine. Frost & Sullivan also named AirDefense the 2007 ‘market leader’ in wireless intrusion prevention.
