AirDefense Expands Into MidWest
IT Security Veteran Joins AirDefense to Drive Chicago Market

ATLANTA & Chicago, IL. - June 11, 2003 - AirDefense Inc., the market leader of 24x7 monitoring of wireless LANs for rogue detection, intrusion protection, policy enforcement and performance monitoring, announces their Midwest expansion with a regional office in Chicago.

This expansion strengthens regional support by enabling AirDefense to provide greater access to sales and pre-sales support and technical resources for customers and partners in the Midwest.

"This expansion into the Midwest allows us to provide service and support at the highest level, as well as continuing our rapid growth," said Jay Johnson, vice president of sales for AirDefense. "The opening of the Chicago office will help us to better meet the wireless LAN monitoring and security needs of enterprises in the Midwest."

With more than 10-years of experience selling network security, most recently with VeriSign Inc., Steve Shepherd joins AirDefense as regional sales manager to head up the Chicago office. "Shepherd adds depth to our sales team with his broad base of experience and client relationships in the Midwest. With his security knowledge from VeriSign, Steve is the perfect addition to the AirDefense team," Johnson said.

AirDefense solutions consist of distributed sensors and server appliances. The remote sensors monitor all wireless LAN activities 24x7 and communicate with the server appliance, which provides scalable, centralized management for real-time rogue detection, policy enforcement, intrusion protection and health monitoring of the wireless LAN.
