ATLANTA - Sept. 18, 2002 — AirDefense Inc., the leader for intrusion protection of wireless LANs, has launched a series of training courses on 802.11 wireless LAN security across the United States. The two-day, hands-on Wireless LAN Boot Camp — Hacks, Attacks & Countermeasures provides a thorough understanding of wireless LAN security risks and available defenses.

The WLAN Security Boot Camp covers how to detect reconnaissance activities of intruders and impending attacks, and participants gain hands-on experience with a range of tools and solutions to actively defend against intruders and attacks. Experts introduce and explain real-life case studies from companies in multiple industries. More than half of the course is spent in a lab conducting hands-on exercises. For the classes and labs, AirDefense provides each participant with a wireless-equipped laptop for hands-on exercises in securing wireless LANs.
