Former Nortel Senior Executive Recognizes Significant Market Opportunity
to Secure & Monitor Enterprise Wireless LANs

Atlanta, GA- December 16, 2003 - In recognizing the surging market demand for wireless LAN security and monitoring, telecommunications and network veteran Anil Khatod has joined AirDefense Inc. as President and CEO to lead the company in its next wave of super-charged growth. AirDefense co-founder Jay Chaudhry remains chairman and actively involved in the operations of the company.

Khatod was most recently a venture principal with Waltham, Mass.-based Atlas Venture. He is widely known for his achievements as a senior executive with Nortel Networks where in his final position he served as Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer. In this role, Khatod was responsible for corporate strategic planning, global marketing, alliances, acquisitions, integration of acquisitions, government relations and advanced technologies for all Nortel businesses across the globe.

As President of Nortel’s optical internet division, Khatod led an increase in annual sales from $580 million to $10 billion. In his 19 years with Nortel, Khatod held senior management positions including Group President of internet solutions, President of wireless internet and senior vice president of marketing and sales.

Khatod holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Rajasthan in India and an M.B.A from the Poddar Institute of Management in India. He is also a chartered accountant.
