Motorola’s AirDefense Services Platform (ADSP) simplifies the management, monitoring, and protection of your WLAN networks. The platform supports three key functions - security and compliance, network assurance, and infrastructure management - within a modular architecture to maximize deployment flexibility and minimize the cost of implementation. The ADSP combines the information collected from your network of sensors or access points with the analytical power of an intelligent appliance to provide 24/7 network monitoring and automate security functions, regulatory compliance requirements, multi-vendor network management and remote troubleshooting. The solution scales to support single offices as well as organizations with hundreds of locations around the globe.
SMART SENSORS
The Motorola AirDefense smart sensors passively observe all wireless LAN traffic within 40,000 to 60,000 square feet of typical office space. The smart sensor analyzes the 802.11 frames and extracts meaningful data points to determine key attributes, such as total data transferred, direction of traffic etc. By preprocessing wireless LAN traffic, the smart sensors greatly reduce the need for bandwidth. |

SERVER APPLIANCE
As part of an Motorola system, the server appliance is a true plug-and-play system with a hardened operating system, optimized database, automated database maintenance, and all application software included. As an appliance, Motorola does not require an enterprise to buy, install, configure, lockdown, and support a server, operating system, and database. A true appliance comes ready with the application and all supporting software pre-loaded. |
