Wireless Site Surveys Made Easy
AirDefense Survey™ provides real-time, in-the-field measurements of Wi-Fi (802.11) RF environments for site-specific surveys. The software runs on a standard Microsoft Windows laptop/tablet and provides powerful field measurement capabilities that may be used to optimize predictions within AirDefense Architect.
This product comes out of the box ready to support a host of popular Wi-Fi PCMCIA wireless cards as the measurement receiver. Measurement data is retained and can be applied immediately to optimize the design for now and in the future. AirDefense Survey overlays actual field measurement data upon a site-specific drawing, so the designer can visually compare predicted measurements.
With this innovative tool, designers can quickly collect thousands of measurement data points to baseline or verify systems, and to archive and exchange measurements. Measurement data is stored in standardized drawing files, making it easy to email results back to the office or to customers for playback and analysis. AirDefense Survey performs real-time data networking measurements such as latency, throughput, and delay. With AirDefense Survey, designers can rapidly verify the performance of the WLAN network, and archive or exchange the measurements quickly with other AirDefense Architect users.

FEATURES
- Import AutoCAD DWG, DXF, raster images (e.g., Windows BMP, JPEG, etc.), or

AirDefense Architect models of facilities or campus
- For all detectable Wi-Fi Access Points, AirDefense Survey measures Signal Strength (RSSI), Noise Levels, SSIDs, Channels
- User indicates positions within the facility by clicking on the map. Measurement data is stored at locations selected by the user
- Provides rich graphical displays of measurements overlaid onto the map:
- RSSI
- Noise
- SSID
- Strongest Channel
- Highlights access points by their channel setting
- User may indicate access point locations within the map
- Measured data collected can be used by AirDefense Architect to further improve simulation accuracy
