Jay Chaudhry
Executive Chairman & Founder
Jay Chaudhry is a seasoned entrepreneur and experienced
technology executive with a track record of success.
Jay's background includes 20 years of sales, marketing
and engineering experience from leading companies such
as IBM, NCR and Unisys and the successful launch of
several entrepreneurial companies.
In 1997 Jay founded SecureIT, the first pure-play Internet
security services company to experience exponential
revenue growth. As a self-funded company of more than
60 employees, SecureIT was acquired by VeriSign in July
1998. After serving as Vice President and General Manager
of the Security Services Division at VeriSign, Jay went
on to co-found and launch several successful start-up
technology companies.
In his previous entrepreneurial ventures, Jay has been
a founder, key investor and/or chairman and CEO of:
- Air2Web
- A developer of the leading mobile Internet platform.
- CipherTrust
- Provider of the industry's first security appliance
for email systems.
- CoreHarbor
- The leading provider of hosted and managed e-commerce
solutions.
From 1995 to 1997, Jay served as Senior Vice President
of Worldwide Marketing at IQ Software, a public company
that specialized in database reporting tools. Previously,
Jay was the vice president of sales and marketing for
Software Products Division at Unisys. Prior to that, Jay
held various sales and marketing management positions
at NCR and IBM.
Jay holds a Masters in Computer Engineering, Masters
in Industrial Engineering, and Masters in Business Administration
from the University of Cincinnati. He has attended executive
management programs at Harvard Business School, Wharton
Business School and IBM Corp.
Richard Rushing Vice
President of Technical Services
Richard is a recognized IT security expert with almost
20 years experience working with computers and networks
as a system analyst, network administrator, engineer,
consultant and architect. Richard has participated in
several corporate security councils setting standards
and policies for entire organizations. Richard was most
recently Chief Technical Officer of VeriSign's Network
Security Services division where he identified and developed
products and services to maintain VeriSign's focus on
leading-edge security solutions. He was VeriSign's key
player in the delivery of complex security consulting
and architecture solutions to numerous Fortune 500 companies.
Richard has taught many classes and workshops on Intrusion
detection, "What hackers know that you don't",
Firewalls, Security Solutions, Network Security, Operating
System security, VPN's and Security protocols, and Web
Security, Auditing Firewalls, and Auditing Web Servers.
A much-in-demand speaker on information security, Richard
has presented at leading security conferences and seminars,
including Networld+Interop, Computer Security Institute,
RSA Conference, SANS Security Conferences, WebSec, InfoSec,
CyberTerrorism, and several industry or application
specific conferences and workshops around the world.
