AirDefense Certified Engineer Training

Overview

AirDefense is pleased to announce the availability of the AirDefense™ Certified Engineer (ACE) training program


This training program is for AirDefense customers and business partners. The intent of this program is to turn engineers from ourcustomers into “field experts” on Wireless LAN security & operational support and also on the capabilities of AirDefense.

In addition - successfully deploy, tune and troubleshoot AirDefense for customers in the field. Engineers who meet prerequisite requirements, attend Certification training, pass its practical and written exam components and fulfill the field experience requirement will be awarded the “AirDefense Certified Engineer” certificate by AirDefense. Engineers are encouraged to proudly display this certificate on their business cards.

Have an intermediate to expert-level knowledge of network and security components of wireless LANs or RF

AirDefense Wireless Vulnerability Assessment (WVA) Training

Overview
AirDefense is pleased to announce the availability of the AirDefense™ Wireless Vulnerability Assessment (WVA) Training program

This training program is for open to any wireless professional. The objective of our Wireless Vulnerability Assessment Training is to teach proper wireless penetration testing methods which can be used to find the weak areas of wireless configurations and identify the methods and tools used to remediate the problems. 

People who should attend this training include Wireless network administrators, Network Security specialist, and those who implement or plan to implement wireless networks or devices. The 2-day course will include ample hands-on labs to practice the methods taught in the lecture.

What You Will Learn

Upon completion of this course, students will have an increased awareness of wireless security vulnerabilities and the methods used to test for them, as well as a better understanding of the functionality of 802.11-based networking.

Prerequisites

Have an intermediate to expert-level knowledge of network and security components of wireless LANs or 802.11 networking. Having successfully completed a CWNA (Certified Wireless Network Administration) class or certification program is highly recommended.

AirDefense Architect Product (ARC) Training

Overview
AirDefense offers a 2-day training class for the AirDefense Architect product, a complete design and simulation tool for wireless LAN planning based on building-specific environments.

This training program is for AirDefense Architect customers and business partners. AirDefense Architect helps to accurately and predicatively design Wi-Fi networks (802.11) before the actual deployment of access points, sensors and other wireless devices. The intent of this training program is to teach customers that purchased this product the capabilities of AirDefense Architect, and allow them to design, simulate and survey complex wireless LANs through lectures and hands-on labs.

What You Will Learn

Upon completion of this course, students will have an increased understanding of the Architect product and its capabilities.Navigate the Architect application and its advanced features

  • Model floors and complete buildings with specific RF properties
  • Plan and design a wireless LAN and place monitoring sensors.
  • Run network predictions against your design and generate reports
  • Optimize predictions using field surveys and RF measurements

Prerequisites

  • Have an intermediate to expert-level knowledge of wireless LANs or 802.11 networking.
  • Student must bring a laptop to participate in the class and the hands-on labs
