Presenter Profile:
Jay Johnson - Vice President of Sales
Jay Johnson brings more than 18 years of industry experience and an impressive record of building organizations into market leaders. Prior to joining AirDefense, Jay served as vice president of the Network Security Services division of VeriSign, Inc. (Nasdaq: VRSN), the leading provider of trusted infrastructure services. Jay managed a team of over 90 employees, who were responsible for the sale and delivery of highly specialized professional security services and Web portal security products. Under his leadership, the Network Security Services division successfully delivered high double-digit revenue growth rates and earned prestigious client accolades, including acknowledgement from Nokia and Check Point Software Technologies as the Most Valuable Partner and Global Partner of the Year.

In 1997 Jay teamed up with Jay Chaudhry and Richard Rushing to form SecureIT, a leading provider of security services to the IT industry. As vice president of sales at SecureIT, Jay successfully generated business from over 50 percent of the Fortune 100 companies in the United States in less than 18 months. Under Jay's management, SecureIT rapidly developed an impressive track record, leading to its acquisition by VeriSign in July 1998.

Before co-founding SecureIT, Jay was vice president of business development for the Technology Management Services group at GE Capital. Prior to GE Capital, Jay led the marketing and sales effort focused on financial services for the Unisys Network Enable division of Unisys.

Gregory Thomas - Director of Sales Support
Greg brings to AirDefense demonstrated ability to apply a keen understanding of industry trends and technology to customer requirements. In applying that capability in both domestic and international markets, Greg has been repeatedly awarded for maintaining the highest standards of customer satisfaction and revenue attainment by organizations including VeriSign, Sun Microsystems and IQ Software. <

During his most recent engagement at VeriSign, Greg assumed the role of corporate subject matter expert in areas including 802.11 and IPSec. With his blend of technical and business savvy, he transitioned into the role of Product Manager for some of VeriSign's high-profile and most profitable offerings. <

In his first 6 months at Sun Microsystems, Greg achieved recognition as the lead technical component of the sales team responsible for placing an area record 12 terabytes of storage and 3 of Sun's highest performance servers at Equifax for the purpose of supporting their next-generation credit reporting backbone.

Greg holds a Bachelor's degree from the State University of New York and maintains involvement in many industry forums through speaking engagements and other business community activities.
